Casher recorded 70 tackles (62 unassisted), 11 pass breakups and three interceptions with Carolina. Casher finished his career at Auburn with 155 tackles and 33 pass breakups. Casher also recorded 11 interceptions ranking him seventh on the Auburn's all-time list.

The Knights also picked up rookie-offensive/defensive linemen Rashard Chisholm (6-2, 291, Fort Valley State) and Ed Wangler (6-4, 240, Oregon).

The Knights will continue to assemble their 2005 roster by holding an open tryout Saturday, March 5th at SportsTowne – the team's official practice and training facility. Registration will begin at 10:00 am.
