(Rochester, January 19)... Rochester Knighthawks veteran Jordan Hall was recognized as the National Lacrosse League Transition Player of the Week for his eight-point effort last Saturday.

Hall scored two goals, assisted on six others and scooped up six loose balls in a 22-12 win at Philadelphia.

"I am grateful to be honored by the league. A pat on the back and some recognition always feels great, but I thought Travis Hill was deserving of the award," said Hall. "He had two awesome looking goals, played solid defense, took faceoffs and had a fight. The guy was all over the floor and would have been my pick. I am always willing to play where my team asks, but last game was a ton of O. Hats off to Travie."

Other weekly winners included Colorado's John Grant (Offensive Player of the Week), Philadelphia's Kevin Crowley (Rookie of the Week) and Buffalo's Mike Thompson (Defensive Player of the Week). The NLL Weekly Player Awards are determined each week by a vote of the General Managers & Head Coaches of the league's nine member clubs.

Hall, a Vancouver native, is in his fifth season in the NLL and second with the Rochester Knighthawks. Last season, he was named the 2011 NLL Sportsmanship Award winner, as he finished with 40 points in 12 games. This summer, he w on a gold medal with Team Canada at the 2011 FIL World Indoor Lacrosse Championships.
