Knighthawks Fighting for Playoff Spot on Final Weekend

It all comes down to the final weekend of the regular season. The Rochester Knighthawks are still alive in the playoff race with two games to play. The Knighthawks can lock up their sixth straight postseason berth with a pair of wins and a Georgia loss.

On Saturday, April 30th, Rochester will host the Saskatchewan Rush at 7:30 p.m. at Connors & Ferris Field. The following day, the Knighthawks will travel to Uncasville, Conn. to play the New England Black Wolves at 6:00 p.m. Rochester (6-10) enters the two-game set just one half game behind the Georgia Swarm (7-10) for the third and final playoff spot in the East Division. Georgia hosts the Vancouver Stealth on Saturday at 7:05 p.m.

Rochester will close out the home portion of its schedule Saturday on Fan Appreciation Night. The Knighthawks will wear special fan-themed jerseys, which include the names of over 1,000 season ticket account holders. The team will randomly select season ticket holders at the game to win the one-of-a-kind jerseys. Prior to faceoff, the Knighthawks will honor the memory of their fans who have passed during the last year.

Kids Day: Fans can arrive early to take part in the Knighthawks annual Kids Day. The event, presented by Zweigle's, will feature inflatables, laser tag, a magician, face painters and air brush tattoos. Doors will open at 4:00 p.m. Admission to the pregame event and the game are free for kids 12 and under. Fans must have a ticket to enter.

Hall of Fame Night: On Saturday, the Knighthawks will induct Chris Schiller and Pat McCready into the team's Hall of Fame. The former defensemen were instrumental in bringing three Champion's Cups to Rochester during their careers.

Jamieson Milestone Watch: Cody Jamieson will play in his 100th professional game on Saturday. He can reach another milestone this weekend, needing just five goals to reach 200 in his career.

Dawson reaches two Milestones: On April 23rd, Dan Dawson passed Shawn Williams to become the NLL Ironman by playing in his 231st consecutive game. Dawson also hit the 1,200-point plateau in the first quarter to become only the fifth player in NLL history to accomplish that feat.

Broadcast Details: Saturday's game will be broadcast on Fox Sports 1280. Sunday's contest in New England will return to 107.3 The Bull. Both games will be carried live on FOX Sports GO.

Next Game: The Knighthawks will play the New England Black Wolves on Sunday, May 1st at 6:00 p.m. at the Mohegan Sun Arena. The game is the fourth meeting of the season between the two East Division foes.

Cody Jamieson - Needs 6 goals to pass his single-season best of 36 goals

Stephen Keogh - Needs 7 goals to record a new single-season high. He currently has 27 goals.

Joe Walters - Needs 4 assists and 8 points to set new single-season highs. He enters the games with 30 assists and 46 points.
