
Knighthawks Assign Thorimbert to IR, Move Garritano to Active Roster

(Rochester, NY) - Rochester Knighthawks General Manager and Vice President of Lacrosse Operations Dan Carey announced today that the team has assigned defenseman Jay Thorimbert to the injured reserve list. In a corresponding move, the Knighthawks have moved defenseman Julian Garritano to the active roster off the injured reserve list. Both transactions are pending league approval.
Thorimbert has appeared in all four games for Rochester this season, scoring one goal with 29 loose balls while ranking fifth in the NLL with 50 face-off wins. He recently surpassed Geoff Snider for first all-time in league history in career face-off wins.
The Knighthawks are back home on Saturday, Jan. 18 when they open a rare two-game weekend against the defending NLL champion Calgary Roughnecks at Segar & Sciortino Field at The Blue Cross Arena. The 7:00 p.m. matchup will be the first and only meeting of the season between the two teams and can be heard live on 107.3 FM The Bull as well as B/R Live.
