
KiXX Trade Tony McPeak to Baltimore Blast

Philadelphia, PA, October 28, 2004 â Philadelphia KiXX Executive Vice President/General Manager Greg Bibb announced today that the club has acquired a fourth-round selection in the 2005 Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) Amateur Draft from the Baltimore Blast in exchange for the playing rights to defender Tony McPeak. Baltimore acquired the fourth-round pick from the Cleveland Force in exchange for defender Wendell Regis on October 13.
McPeak, a three-year indoor veteran, signed with Philadelphia in 2002 and appeared in 49 contests with Philadelphia over the past two seasons. The native of Glasgow, Scotland registered a career-high in games played (30), goals (6), points (12), and blocks (22) in the 2003-04 campaign. McPeak began his indoor career with the Milwaukee Wave and recorded four points and 11 blocks in 13 games in the 1999-00 season.
The Philadelphia KiXX are back in action on Friday, November 5 for the opening game of a back-to-back set that kicks-off versus the two-time defending MISL Champion Baltimore Blast at the 1st Mariner Arena. Game-time is slated for 7:35 pm ET. The club then returns to the Wachovia Spectrum to conclude the series by entertaining the Blast in the team's 2004-05 home opener on Saturday, November 6. The first 5,000 fans to enter the gates will receive a 2004-05 Philadelphia KiXX Magnetic Schedule, courtesy of Jake's Dog House. Game-time is scheduled for 7:05 pm, with doors opening at 6:00 pm ET.
The Philadelphia KiXX are a member of the Major Indoor Soccer League, a single-entity organization that features a coast-to-coast presence across the United States. The club will enter its ninth season of play in 2004-05 at the Wachovia Spectrum located in Philadelphia, PA.
