
Kinnunen headed to CHL All Star Game

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas (December 30)- Brahmas Defenseman Justin Kinnunen's outstanding play this season has not gone unnoticed as the Central Hockey League (CHL) named him a reserve for the All Star game in January.
Kinnunen will be the lone representative of the Texas Brahmas on Wednesday, January 16 in Broomfield Colorado, home of the Rocky Mountain Rage.
The 26-year-old defenseman has 14 points (5 goals, 9 assists) and is a +8 for the season, leading all Brahmas defenseman. Kinnunen has three powerplay goals, three powerplay assists and the game winner November 30 against Northeast divisional rival, Mississippi.
This is Kinnunen's first season in the CHL. The announcement has come to no surprise to Brahmas Head Coach Dan Wildfong as prior to the season, had high expectations for the Negaunee, MI native.
"Kinnunen has become one of our strongest players on the blueline, and very dependable on the PK. This is a great honor for him and the organization," said Wildfong.
