Kinnie called up to Rochester

FLINT, MI - The Flint Generals of the United Hockey League are proud to announce rookie right wing superstar, Mike Kinnie, has been called up to the American League's Rochester Americans effective immediately.

Kinnie, a 22-year old native of Shelby Township is a leading candidate for the United Hockey League Rookie of the Year and has been one of the offensive spark plugs for the Flint Generals. Kinnie currently leads the team and all league rookies in goals scored (37) and power play goals (16). Kinnie (37g, 44a, 81 pts.) is third in team scoring and second overall among league rookies.

Kinnie joins the number one team in the A.H.L. as Rochester (49-14-4-6, 108 pts.) holds the first overall spot in the American League.

Rochester will be on the road for five consecutive games from April 8th – 15th. The closest city to Flint in which anyone may have a chance to see Kinnie in action is a game at Hamilton, ONT on Friday, April 15th.

The Flint Generals wrap up the regular season home schedule with two games this weekend.
