Kalamazoo Kings News Release
On May 28, 2003 at Homer Stryker Field the Kalamazoo Kings pulled off a very impressive victory in what was a very high scoring game. In the bottom of the first Walt Simmons hit a three run home run to give the Kings a 4-3 lead. After many lead changes, in the bottom of the eighth Chris Carter hit a two run home run to tie up the game. In the ninth inning with one out Tino Burgos hit a single up the middle to score Jim Tully and give the Kings the 10-9 victory. The winning pitcher was Jared Powell and this gives him his second win of the season.
