Cincinnati Kings News Release
CLEVELAND June 9--The Cincinnati Kings lose a rematch to the Cleveland City Stars, 1-0, Saturday night at Krenzler Stadium in Cleveland in United Soccer Leagues Second division action.
The lone goal of the night came in the 45th minute, at the end of the first half, when Adam Moffat's backheel goal, off the assist from Mark Schulte, gave Cleveland the victory, their third so far this season over the Kings.
The Kings had 10 shots on goal to Cleveland's eight, but could not convert, as Cleveland goalie Hunter Gilstraps records the shutout. Gilstraps was credited with six saves, to the Kings' two.
The loss is the third for the Kings on this three-game road swing. The Kings now stand at 2-6-2 for the season. The Kings stay on the road for their first-round game in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on June 12, when they go to Milwaukee to face the Bavarians. The Kings' next home game at Town & Country Sports Complex will be Friday, June 15, when they face the Western Mass Pioneers.
