
Kings Start Final Road Trip of Season with 6-1 Loss

LUDLOW, Massachusetts (August 10) -- The Cincinnati Kings begin their final road trip of the 2007 season with a 6-1 loss to the Western Mass Pioneers Friday night in United Soccer Leagues Second Division action.
After a day of rain and with temperatures dipping into the 50s at gametime, The Pioneers scored four goals in the first half to take a 4-0 lead at the break. Western Mass tacked on another goal to make it 5-0 before the Kings' David Horne scored in the 73rd minute with the assist from Thies Hermann. The Pioneers answered with one more goal to make the final 6-1.
The Kings had nine shots on goal to the Pioneers' 18. The Kings were credited with four saves on goal and the Pioneers had seven.
The loss drops the Kings to 3-11-5 on the season while the Pioneers close out their season at 7-7-6. The Kings play the season's final game Saturday night at New Hampshire.
