Lubbock Cotton Kings News Release
LUBBOCK â Lubbock Cotton Kings Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Kirk Tomlinson announced today that the team has signed former Canisius College forward, Chris Duggan.
Duggan, 25, was signed for his offensive abilities. "Chris needs to come in and play on the top two lines," said Tomlinson. "He is quick and sees the ice very well."
While at Canisius College in Buffalo, NY, Duggan racked up 115 points â including 48 goals â in 88 career games. In his freshman year with the Canisius Griffins, Duggan led the team in goals, assists and points. He was red-shirted his sophomore year after a wrist injury in the first game of the 1999-2000 season.
Duggan, 6-0, 175 forward is a native of Woodville, Ontario and should be a major part of the Cotton Kings offence this season. "He is just a gifted playmaker," said Tomlinson.
