
Kings Fall in U.S. Open Cup Competition

INDIANAPOLIS--The Cincinnati Kings dropped their opening round game in Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup action Wednesday night to the Indiana Reggae Boyz of the U.S. Adult Soccer Association, 4-2, at Kuntz Memorial Stadium in Indianapolis.
The Reggae Boyz got on the board early, as Dave Beck scored in the eighth minute and Moussa Dagnogo scored in the 25th and 40th minutes of play, the second goal coming on a corner kick. Dagnogo finished the hat trick with his third goal of the night, in the 70th minute.
The Kings got on the board in the 85th minute on a goal by Travis Sobers with an assist from John McGinlay, then scored one minute later on a goal by George Kithas, with the assist from John Liersemann. The Kings' next game is this Saturday, June 18, as the Kings travel to Pittsburgh to face the Riverhounds.
