Kalamazoo - The Kalamazoo Kings begin their championship quest tonight in game one of their first round series against the Lake Erie Crushers. The game will start at 7:05 pm and tickets are only $6.00.
For the second straight season, the Kalamazoo Kings finished the regular season with the best record in the Frontier League. This means the Kings will have home field advantage throughout the playoffs.
Kings' ace John Brownell takes the ball for game one after he finished the regular season 11-5 with a 3.48 ERA. His 11 wins were fifth best in the League and his 3.48 ERA was sixth best.
The Kalamazoo Kings are a part of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league.
