FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. â Mike King's 19 points led the Dazzle in a 99-93 win over the Patriots, spoiling Fayetteville's chance for their first victory. Five other Roanoke players were in double figures, including Sung-Yoon Bang and James Thomas with 16 points and 15 points, respectively.
The Dazzle jumped out to an early lead in the first quarter with a balanced attack led by Bang and Center Kevin Owens with six points a piece. The Dazzle took a 25-17 lead into the break. The Patriots cut into the lead in the second quarter and were behind by five at the half, 49-43.
The Patriots made a run at the end of the game, led by Omar Cook's 10 points in the fourth quarter, but the Dazzle pulled a close one out in the end.
The Patriots were led by newcomer Tang Hamilton with 18 points and Cook with 19. Hamilton was acquired by the Patriots before the game today, after an injury to Ruben Boumtje-Boumtje. Two other Patriots were in double figures. Guards Chris Brooks and David Young had 13 points and 16 points, respectively.
The Patriots (0-4) return to action tomorrow, Saturday, November 27 at the Crown Coliseum against the Asheville Altitude (2-0) at 7:30 p.m. The Dazzle don't play again until next Sunday, December 5 at the Columbus Civic Center at 6 p.m. For more information, log onto nbdl.com.
