King County to close out regular season in southern California

King County Royals News Release
SEATTLE - The King County Royals will close out the 2006-07 regular season with three games this weekend on the road against two teams ranked in the ABA's playoff power rankings.
The Royals will kick things off with a game against the Beijing Olympian, ranked sixth in the ABA, on Saturday at 6 p.m. at the Felix Center at Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, Calif. In the two teams' only previous meeting on Nov. 20, the Olympian prevailed 107-92.
On Sunday, the Royals will travel down I-605 to take on the #24-ranked Maywood Buzz at 4:05 p.m. at the Maywood Activity Center. The Royals also fell to the Buzz, 117-114, in their meeting on Jan. 17 in Seattle.
The Royals will wrap up the regular season on Monday once more against the Olympian, this time with a 7:30 p.m. tip-off scheduled for the Felix Center.
A sweep of the road series could be enough to hoist King County into the ABA playoffs starting later this month. The games also have playoff implications for the Olympian, who are looking to remain in the ABA's top eight and earn a bye in the first round of the playoffs.
King County, which has one three of its last four games, is led by former ABA All-Star Tim Ellis, who joined the team last month. In that time, Ellis is leading the team with a 37 points per game scoring average. Also making significant contributions are guards Randy Green and Kyle Keyes, averaging 26 and 23 points per game, respectively.
Both games against the Beijing Olympians can be heard live on the internet via Audio Sports Online at www.audiosportsonline.net.
