RIO GRANDE VALLEY KILLER BEES

2003-04 WEEKLY RELEASE

FOR THE WEEK OF Mar. 8 - Mar 14th

SO WHAT'S THE SCENARIO

This is the final week of regular season action, and the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees wrap up the regular season with four games. The games will decide the Bees conference ranking for playoff positioning and the Bees are currently occupying the conference's fourth seed. The matchups for the best-of-five first round are not mathematically in place and the following shows what would need to take place to form the matchup:

Killer Bees - Amarillo: For this matchup to take place, the Killer Bees would need to move into the three seed and pass San Angelo in the rankings. This could only happened if San Angelo loses their final four games (3 are against last place teams within their division) and the Bees win all four of their games and win standings the tie-breaker with San Angelo.

Killer Bees - Laredo: This has been the series all have been anticipating. A win by both Amarillo and San Angelo out of any of their final games or a loss by the Bees in any of their remaining games would secure this series.

Killer Bees - San Angelo: For this series to take place, Amarillo would need to lose all four remaining games and the Killer Bees would need to win all four of their remaining games.

HOME DATES SET

The Killer Bees might not know who they are playing in the first round of the playoffs, but they do know the home dates for their first round best-of-five games series. Levy was in net for 151:35 during the week and allowed just 4 goals on the week for a 1.58 GAA and posted a 93.7% winning percentage by stopping 59 of 63 shots on goal.
