HIDALGO, TEXAS --- The Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees of the Central Hockey League (CHL) today announced a trade with the Allen Americans that sends defenseman Jason Seerey (SEER-ee) to RGV in exchange for future considerations. The team also placed defenseman and team captain Stacey Bauman on the 14-day injured reserve list.

Seerey, 29, played the last two seasons with the Oklahoma City Blazers (CHL). In 2008-09, he finished second on the team in plus/minus (+14) and led all defensemen on the Blazers in that category. In 59 games, he posted 17 points (4-13-17) and 95 PIM. In 11 games this season, the 6-foot, 200-pounder collected five points (1-4-5) and 47 PIM.

Bauman has played in 13 games this season, producing three points (2-1-3) and 14 PIM.

"Seerey is a two-way defenseman with grit and good size," Killer Bees Head Coach Chris Brooks said. "Stacey and Andy Franck played with him last season and both highly recommended him."

The Killer Bees return home Friday, November 20, when they will face the Texas Brahmas at 7:30 p.m. That's followed by a match-up with the Odessa Jackalopes on Saturday.

It's $1.50 beer all night on Friday while the first 1,000 adults will receive jerseys at Saturday night's game.

Tickets are available at all TicketMaster outlets, including the arena box office, and online at www.killerbeehockey.com.
