Arizona Sundogs News Release

Prescott Valley, AZ - The Arizona Sundogs announced today their first ever Kids Day Game on January 29, 2014 against the Rapid City Rush is sold out. The game will start at 10:00am when third through eighth grade students from across the region will pour in to Tim's Toyota Center for an educational experience wrapped around a hockey game. Schools from the Quad City region as well as participants from Cottonwood and Congress will also be in attendance.

"We are so excited to have so many area children, their teachers and administrators attend this great event" said Sundogs General Manager, Chris Presson. "We hold our community responsibility in high regard and this is one of the ways we choose to give."

Each child will receive a ticket to the game, lunch and a twelve page workbook to complete. The workbook was put together with the help of Liberty Traditional School teacher, Kristi Goeke and provides an opportunity for an interactive experience that will aide in teaching children in various subjects such as writing, mathematics and bullying.

Students will complete the workbook throughout the game based upon various videos from Sundogs team members and the coach. Head Coach Kevin Colley explains "Kids work hard in school and deserve an outlet sometimes. We hope this event provides an opportunity to learn while experiencing the learning process in a different way. We want to make a difference in this community and we feel this is one way to do that."

Longtime Sundogs Season Ticket Holder, John Stuczynski expressed, "I understand the importance of this event and am excited that the Sundogs are able to put this game on." Season Ticket Holders will be re-seated to the first four rows off the glass and are encouraged to visit the Sundogs Office or the Box Office prior to the game on January 29, 2014 to have their seats reassigned.

The Arizona Sundogs are the Central Hockey League affiliate of the NHL's Phoenix Coyotes. Season tickets, mini-plan, and single-game ticket information is now available by calling (928) 759-6600 or visiting arizonasundogs.com.
