Kickers to host preseason scrimmage at RISE

RICHMOND, VA - (Wednesday, March 29, 2006) - The Richmond Kickers will be holding an open door, intra-squad scrimmage and autograph session free to the public this Saturday, April 1st at 3:00 p.m. at RISE (Richmond Indoor Sports Experience) located at 2300 Oak Lake Boulevard in Midlothian.

Join the Kickers for an intra-squad scrimmage at 3:00 p.m. and stay for a meet-and-greet with the players and coaches immediately following at 4:00 p.m. Take advantage of this opportunity to catch a preview of the 2006 Kickers squad before the season home opener on April 15th. Joining veterans Mike Burke, Tony Williams, Kevin Knight and Ronnie Pascale are newcomers Cristian Neagu, Ray Goodlett and several new additions to the Kickers roster.

The Richmond Kickers kick off their 14th season with Anthem Night to benefit the Jamie Hess Pediatric Cancer Research Fund at VCU's Massey Cancer Center on Saturday, April 15th as the Kickers host the Virginia Beach Mariners. Kickoff for the Kickers home opener is set for 7:00 p.m. at the University of Richmond Stadium (just off the Downtown Expressway).
