
Kickers Continue Road Trip Saturday at Chattanooga

RICHMOND, Va. - The Richmond Kickers (4-1-2) are back on the road this Saturday for a midday match up at Chattanooga Red Wolves SC (3-2-3) at CHI Memorial Stadium. Kickoff for the match is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. and will air live on WTVR CBS 6.3 (Comcast 206, Verizon FiOS 466) and streaming on ESPN+.
Chattanooga holds the lead in the series between the two clubs, winning three of the four meetings in 2019. Richmond's lone win came the first time these two met back on April 27, 2019 at City Stadium, with Joe Gallardo scoring in the 53rd minute to lead the Kickers to the three points. The Red Wolves would best the Kickers 0-2 at City Stadium one more time June 15. Both times the Kickers travelled to Chattanooga, the home side took the victory. These two will have one more match in the 2020 season, closing out the regular season at City Stadium October 24.
Richmond salvaged a point on the road last Saturday after making the cross-country trek to FC Tucson. 10 minutes into the match, a penalty would put Tucson ahead after Roberto Alarcon converted from the spot. Five minutes later, Carlos Merancio managed to get his goal kick through everyone finding Shak Adams sneaking in behind the Richmond backline. Emiliano Terzaghi scored his sixth goal in seven matches in the 40th minute to pull a goal back before halftime. Heading into second half stoppage time, Ryley Kraft and Mutaya Mwape had shots blocked that set up a Richmond corner kick. Kraft served in the corner, picking out Victor Falck to head in the tying goal. With the draw, the Kickers extended their unbeaten streak to six matches.
A midweek clash saw the Red Wolves pick up their first road win of the season with a 2-1 victory over New England Revolution II at Gillette Stadium. Jason Ramos put Chattanooga up in the 10th minute with a shot from long range. New England tied it up in first half stoppage time with a goal from Orlando Sinclair. The Red Wolves would get their go ahead goal in the 83rd minute. Alexi Jaimes played in a cross to the back post which found Ronaldo Pineda. He headed the ball towards goal as the shot took a deflection off Diego Sousa into his own net for an own goal.
The Kickers return back home to City Stadium next Saturday night, September 19 as they host Orlando City B. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. and the match will air live on WTVR CBS 6.3 and streaming on ESPN+. A limited number of tickets are still available at RichmondKickers.com/Tickets.

Richmond: Midfielder Victor Falck (#23) scored his first professional goal to tie the match at Tucson last Saturday. Falck became the first Richmond United player to not only sign with the Kickers first team, but also score for the pro side. Midfielder Matt Bolduc (#7) has put in a shift for the Kickers this season, posting a team-high 11 chances created this season, including two against Tucson. That is coupled with his goal and two assists through the first seven matches. For a fourth time this season, forward Emiliano Terzaghi (#32) found himself on the USL League One Team of the Week after scoring his sixth goal in seven matches. He now sits as the top of the league scoring this season and tied for third for total shots with 17.
Chattanooga: Forward Ricky Ruiz (#12) has played every minute this season for the Red Wolves, contributing two assists and 10 chances created. Against New England, Ruiz had a passing accuracy of 80.9 percent and had a team-high 75 touches. Defender Jason Ramos (#4) netted his first goal of the season in Wednesday night's win at Revolution II with a long range effort. He has recorded 621 minutes and a club-leading 20 clearances in seven matches this season with Chattanooga. Midfielder Ronaldo Pineda (#16) set up the game-winner against New England that took a deflection of Diego Sousa for the own goal. Along with that chance, he has two assists on the season from eight matches played.
