Kew Grabs Second TRUE Rookie of the Week Honor

For the second time this season, Andrew Kew was voted the TRUE Rookie of the Week. Kew is the only two-time winner this season after previously being honored in Week 2.

The first-year forward earned his second honor of the season after his performance against New York in New England's home opener on Friday, Dec. 27. Kew picked up his third nomination of the season after his team's 21-11 victory over the Riptide in Week 5. In the win, he tallied nine points on three goals and six assists.

Kew was also put up for Rookie of the Week after the first NLL game of his career during Week 2. Against the Toronto Rock, he scored one goal and recorded two assists where his team picked up the 12-8 road win.

On the season, the Ontario native has scored six goals and racked up 13 assists for 19 total career points. He has also started in all three of the Black Wolves contests this season.

New England is currently 3-0 after defeating Toronto and Saskatchewan on the road 12-8, respectively, and dominating the Riptide 21-11 at home. The Pack roll out for the first time in 2020 against the Philadelphia Wings on Saturday, Jan. 18 at Mohegan Sun Arena. Faceoff is scheduled for 7:00pm.
