SOUTHAVEN, Miss â Kevin Prentiss continues to shine in his first season with the Memphis Xplorers. Prentiss ranks in the top 10 in six categories and has been one of the bright spots this year for the Xplorers. Memphis travels to Arkansas this Saturday. Prentiss, a former Mississippi State Bulldog, has excelled in an Xplorers offense that is ranked seventh in passing yards per game. He and Memphis QB Rod Robinson have shown good chemistry, hooking up for all fourteen of Prentiss' receiving TDs in just four games together.
"Prentiss has been huge for us," Xplorers head coach Danton Barto said. "I mean, this guy can do it all: catch, run, return kicks. I wouldn't be surprised to see him get a chance at the next level soon."
In week four against Tulsa he had 13 receptions (3rd-highest single game total in af2 this year) for 199 yards (T-3rd highest single game total in af2 this year). In week six, also against Tulsa, he had 9 receptions for 192 yards and a season-high six TDs (tied for single game high in af2 this year).
