Adirondack Phantoms News Release

The Philadelphia Flyers announced that defenseman Kevin Marshall has been loaned to the Adirondack Phantoms, according to Flyers General Manager Paul Holmgren.

Marshall, 22, made his NHL debut on November 21 in Philadelphia against the Carolina Hurricanes. After a brief return to the Phantoms, Marshall was called upon again and has now played a total of 10 games with the big club scoring zero points and accumulating eight penalty minutes. He has played in 16 games for the Phantoms this season and 169 Phantoms games in his career, the most in Adirondack Phantoms history. The 6-foot-1, 207-pound defenseman was drafted by the Flyers in the second round (41st overall) in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft, following four years in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League split between the Lewiston MAINEiacs and Quebec Remparts.

Marshall will be eligible to return to the Phantoms lineup for the Wednesday, December 21 game at Connecticut. His last game with the Phantoms was approximately one month ago, on Thanksgiving, November 24 at Binghamton.

Other Adirondack Phantoms to have made the jump to the Philadelphia Flyers this season include Marc-Andre Bourdon, Erik Gustafsson, Zac Rinaldo, Brayden Schenn, Matt Walker and Harry Zolinerczyk.
