
Kevan George Headed out for Caribbean Cup Qualifiers with T&T National Team

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Jacksonville Armada FC midfielder Kevan George has been called up to the Trinidad and Tobago national team for the upcoming 2016 Caribbean Football Union Men's Caribbean Cup third round Qualifying matches.
George, who has played 1,799 minutes in 21 appearances in NASL with the Armada FC this season, will head off to train with the Soca Warriors on Sunday, Oct. 2, to prepare for their two qualifying matches. Trinidad and Tobago will face the Dominican Republic on Oct. 5 at Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago and then Martinique on Oct. 11 at Stade Pierre-Aliker in Fort-de-France, Martinique.
In his most recent T&T national team appearance, George was subbed on for teammate Andre Boucaud in the 79th minute in their defeat to the U.S. Men's National Team during their 2018 World Cup Qualifying match on Sept. Tuesday, Sept. 6, at EverBank Field.
The Soca Warriors still managed to finish second in their group and will enter the final round of CONCACAF World Cup qualification at home against Costa Rica on Friday Nov. 11, the final phase in their journey to qualify for the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup finals.
George will return to the club on Oct. 12 in time for its home match against the New York Cosmos on Saturday Oct, 15.
