Kenyon Gamble to Play for Minot Skyrockets

Minot, ND - October 16, 2006 - Kenyon Gamble will be continuing his celebrated basketball career with the Minot Skyrockets. Pending league approval, Gamble will be re-united with Head Coach Chris Daleo, whom he played for last season with the Rockford Lightning. Coach Daleo drafted Gamble last year in the second round of the 2005 CBA Rookie Draft.

The 6-11 center played at Tuskegee University where he led the nation (NCAA II) in blocked shots his junior year with 5.1 per game and a season total of 142. In his first year as a professional basketball player, Gamble was named to the CBA All-Defensive Team after leading the league in blocked shots with 84. He was also selected for the 2006 CBA All-Star Game in Boise, Idaho.

"Kenyon has come a long way in a very short period of time. He continues to improve and if he continues to work hard and stay on point, he will be in the NBA soon," said Coach Daleo. "After I was named the Minot Head Coach, I called Kenyon. He is familiar with my coaching and my style of play. Kenyon will be a fine addition to the Minot basketball team and the Minot community."

Players will arrive in Minot in mid-November and veteran's camp will begin November 17, 2006. The Skyrockets will open on the road against the Utah Eagles on December 1, 2006. Utah will then come to Minot for the home opener on December 3, 2006 with tip-off at 4:05 pm.

Season tickets are still available for the 2006-2007 season. Several pricing options are available, and ticket holders have the opportunity to pick their seats on a first-come, first-serve basis, but seats are filling up quickly so please come by the Skyrockets office located in the lower level of the Minot Municipal Auditorium.
