Kelowna Falcons News Release

Kelowna; The Bellingham Bells would score early and often as they handed the hometown Kelowna Falcons an 11-4 defeat on Sunday at Elks Stadium.

The Bells would score twice in the top of the first inning, three times in the second inning and two more runs in the third on route to their fourth victory over the Falcons this season. Falcons' starter Austin Rice would give up all seven runs, five of which were actually earned.

The Falcons did record a run in the bottom of the second inning as Tyler Pentland would bring home Nathan Robertson for his second RBI of the season.

In the bottom of the fourth inning the Falcons would get their second run of the night as Pentland again would drive in Robertson.

The Bells would put three more runs on the board in the top of the sixth inning off reliever Tyler Dunnington.

The Falcons would get one back on the bottom of the inning as Scotland Church scored on a wild pitch.

James Sloan would collect his first RBI of the season in the seventh inning with a double to score Robertson.

The Falcons have dropped the first two games of this series and would look to avoid the home sweep on Monday evening when the two clubs will match up again. Former Bell Josh Phillips will make his first start of the season. The gates open at 5:30pm, with the first pitch set for 6:35pm. Fans 60 years and older will receive a burger and pop combo for just $5.00 on the Falcons "Special Seniors' Night."
