Kelly Pavlik Joins Growing Cast for HockeyFest

YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO - The Youngstown SteelHounds announced today that hometown hero Kelly 'The Ghost" Pavlik will be on hand at HockeyFest on Friday, October 6th signing autographs at the Chevrolet Centre. The team also announced that BW-3's and The Bean Counter Café have joined with the Hounds becoming the presenting partners of HockeyFest.

HockeyFest will be from noon until 7:00 PM on Friday and includes many activities including an open skate on the ice all day long (please bring your own skates), a puck shot for great prizes and the band Edison's Medicine will be performing at 5:30 PM.

In addition, individual game tickets go on sale for all 32 SteelHounds home games including the home opener versus the Rocky Mountain Rage scheduled for Friday, October 27th at 7:05 PM at the Chevrolet Centre. Individual ticket prices for the Hounds remain the same as the team's inaugural season ranging from $8.00-$22.00.

Pavlik, 24, will be meeting fans and signing autographs beginning at 5:00 PM at the SteelHounds team store. "The Ghost" is scheduled to fight Lenord Pierre at the Chevrolet Centre on November 2nd. Pavlik is currently ranked #2 by the WBC and #4 by the WBA. The Youngstown native is 28-0 with 25 knockouts in his career and is coming off a TKO in July versus highly ranked Bronco McKart.

The team also announced that Pavlik will drop the team's first puck during their exhibition game versus the Dayton Bombers on Friday, October 13th. Face-off is scheduled for 7:05 PM and tickets are just $5.00.
