Keith Signs Two-Year AHL Deal with the Rivermen

Peoria, IL (July 20, 2006) - Peoria Rivermen General Manager of Hockey Operations Kevin McDonald announced today that the club has signed center Cam Keith to a two-year American Hockey League (AHL) contract. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Keith, 25, split time between the Rivermen and their ECHL affiliate, the Alaska Aces, during the 2005-06 season. He was an integral part to the Aces' 2006 Kelly Cup Championship. In 17 playoff games with Alaska, Keith tallied 12 points with six goals and six assists, including the game- and series-clinching goal in triple-overtime of Game Six of the Western Conference Semifinals against the Las Vegas Wranglers.

The 6-3, 213-pound centerman participated in the 2005-06 Peoria Rivermen training camp before being assigned to Alaska. In 39 games with the Aces, Keith scored 13 goals and assisted on 17 for 30 points.

Keith, a Nelson, British Columbia native, tallied 13 points (6g, 7a) in 34 games with the Rivermen last year, joining the team for much of the remainder of the regular season on January 23, 2006. He appeared in one playoff contest during Peoria's first-round exit at the hands of the Houston Aeros.
