
Kaymore makes move to AFL

Wilkes-Barre, PA- The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers are pleased to announce that former Pioneers defensive specialist Ronnie Kaymore has signed with AFL's Las Vegas Gladiators.
Kaymore played for the Pioneers last season before suffering a hand injury. In 14 games, Kaymore racked up 72 tackles (56 unassisted), 0.5 tackles for loss, three interceptions, seven passes defended, one forced fumble with two fumble recoveries.
"We are always happy and proud to see former Pioneer players succeed," said Pioneers GM/President Dave Berryman. "The Pioneers are truly happy for Ronnie and wish him the best of luck in Las Vegas and wish the Gladiators a successful 2006 season."
In 2004, Kaymore enjoyed a brief time with the Pioneers. In two games he recorded three tackles. He left Wilkes-Barre to pursue workouts with select AFL teams.
Kaymore played college football for Texas A&M-Kingsville. In eight games he racked up 20 tackles (10 unassisted) and two interceptions for 34 yards. Before transferring to Texas, Kaymore played two seasons at Nassau Community College, which is a State University in New York.
