Kats Place Tuua on Recallable Waivers, Sign Two to Practice Squad

NASHVILLE- The Nashville Kats have placed OL Fitu Tuua on recallable waivers and signed WR Agim Shabaj and DB Clarence Curry to the team's practice squad announced Head Coach/Dir. of Football Ops Pat Sperduto.

Tuua (6-5 350 Fresno St.) came to the Kats just before the team's Week 3 contest against the Utah Blaze. Tuua played in six games with six starts for the Kats primarily at the TE position, registering four catches for 39 yards and one touchdown.

Shabaj (5'9 190 Michigan St.) signed with the club as a free agent after starting the season on the Grand Rapids Rampage's practice squad. Shabaj did not see any game action with the Rampage.

Curry (6-1 210 Villanova) began his AFL career in 2006 with the Philadelphia Soul where he saw action in one game, in 2007, he spent time with the Los Angeles Avengers and New Orleans VooDoo before coming to the Kats before their Week 13 contest.

The Kats' next contest will be against the Las Vegas Gladiators, Sunday, June 10. Nashville competes in the AFL's Central Division, a talent-rich division that houses the past two ArenaBowl Champions (Chicago Rush 2006, Colorado Crush 2005) and added the Kansas City Brigade in a realignment change.
