NEW YORK - Utah Blaze QB JOE GERMAINE can set the all-time single-season record for passing yards in a season when the Blaze (7-7) welcome the San Jose SaberCats (10-3) to EnergySolutions Arena on Saturday, June 9, at 9 p.m. ET (FSN Bay Area - Live, KJZZ Salt Lake - Live, AFL NET).
Germaine (4,496 YDs, 97 TDs) can set the record with 346 yards on Saturday, passing the current record of 4,841 passing yards, set in 2006 by QB MARK GRIEB, who will be his opponent on Saturday. Germaine also stands three touchdowns from becoming the third player in AFL history to throw for 100 touchdowns in a single-season.
