
Karen Newman To Perform At Saturday's Icehawks Game

PORT HURON, MI - The Port Huron Icehawks are proud to welcome Detroit Red Wings anthem singer Karen Newman to the Icehawks game this Saturday versus the Muskegon Lumberjacks at 7:30 p.m. Newman will also perform in the Under the Ice Lounge following the game.
Newman will open the Icehawks game with her version of the national anthem. She will also be available during the first period to sign autographs. Stay after the game for an exclusive concert with Newman in the Under the Ice Lounge, located below the theater at McMorran Place. Entrance to the post-game event is free.
The Icehawks game will close out a great day of hockey action at McMorran Arena. The fun begins at 4 p.m. when the Detroit Red Wings Alumni take on Port Huron Pro Hockey Alumni. Former Detroit Red Wings such as Joe Kocur, Mickey Redmond and John Ogrodnick will lace up their skates to go head-to-head with former Port Huron players. Tickets for the game are just $5 and available now at the McMorran Arena Box Office.
"Saturday will be a great day for hockey fans," Port Huron Icehawks VP/Business Manager Dave Goetze said. "The day starts with a unique opportunity to watch some of your favorite former players take to the ice for charity and ends with an exciting night of Port Huron Icehawks hockey and a concert by Karen Newman."
The Icehawks host the Lumberjacks on both Friday and Saturday this weekend. The first 500 fans at Friday's game will receive a Mickael Bedard oversized trading card.
