Wizards Host FC Dallas Saturday Prepared for 10-Game Sprint Toward Playoffs

Kansas City enters its final 10-game push toward the 2008 MLS Cup Playoffs Saturday at 7 p.m. CT against FC Dallas at CommunityAmerica Ballpark. The Wizards are 0-0-1 against Dallas this season after capturing a 1-1 tie July 4 at Pizza Hut Park in Frisco, Texas. The Wizards enter Saturday's game just three points out of a playoff place and tied for 6th in the highly competitive Eastern Conference. With 25 points, the Wizards would be tied for 3rd in the West with FC Dallas.

Kansas City goalkeeper Kevin Hartman is poised to surpass a pair of milestones with a start on Saturday. Hartman currently has 1099 career saves and will become just the second goalkeeper in League history to surpass the 1100-save plateau with his first stop this weekend. Hartman currently trails former Wizards goalie Tony Meola for the all-time MLS record in saves and needs only 37 more stops over the final 10 matches to reach the record this season. With seven more minutes, Hartman will surpass former Wizards midfielder and assistant coach Chris Henderson for second-place on the League's all-time minutes played list. Once he surpasses Henderson, Hartman will trail only New England Revolution midfielder Steve Ralston.
