Kansas City Wizards Host Chivas USA Saturday at CommunityAmerica Ballpark

The Kansas City Wizards return home Saturday looking to stop a two-game losing streak with a match against Chivas USA, the 8th place team in the Western Conference. Chivas is winless in its last seven regular-season MLS matches, but they earned a 3-1 win over the Houston Dynamo Tuesday in a Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup match. The Wizards enter the match after losses to the New York Red Bulls at home and FC Dallas on the road.

Kansas City will regain the services of captain Davy Arnaud after the veteran midfielder sat out the FC Dallas match due to red card suspension. Last match, midfielder Stéphane Auvray return from a knee injury and left back Roger Espinoza played his first match with the club after Honduras World Cup duty.

A pair of Wizards players could make the 100th MLS appearances Saturday, as defender Michael Harrington and striker Kei Kamara reached 99 career games last weekend. Harrington joined the Wizards via the MLS SuperDraft in 2007 and has played his entire career for the Wizards. Kamara entered MLS in 2006 with the Columbus Crew. He has also played for the San Jose Earthquakes and Houston Dynamo. Kamara leads Kansas City with six goals on the season, equaling his career high set in 2009.

Central defender Shavar Thomas made his first appearance for the Wizards since 2006 after joining the team through a mid-week trade with the Philadelphia Union. Saturday's match can once again be viewed on KCWE 29 featuring play-by-play announcer Dave Borchardt and analyst Sasha Victorine, with 30-minute pre-game and 30-minute post-game shows.

The Wizards will again host a watch party for Sunday's World Cup final between Spain and the Netherlands at Power & Light District. The match kicks off at 1:30 p.m. CT. To date, over 30,000 people have watched World Cup matches in Power & Light. The crowd for the USA-Ghana Round of 16 match was shown live on ABC's game broadcast and seen by over 15 million people in the U.S.
