Kansas City Explorers Dominate Men's And Women's Doubles at Wimbledon

Kansas City Explorers stars, Mike Bryan, Bob Bryan and Kveta Peschke dominated the men's and women's doubles finals on Center Court at Wimbledon this afternoon. The Bryan Brothers defeated Lindstedt and Tecau in three straight sets for their 11th Grand Slam Team Title. Peschke, with partner Katarina Srebotnik claimed victory over Lisicki and Stosur in the women's doubles finals.
Co-owner and General Manager, Jeff Launius stated, "In 35 seasons, I don't think any WTT team has ever been able to claim they have three Wimbledon champions at one time. I couldn't be more excited about the season now!"
The reigning WTT Champions, the Kansas City Explorers will kick off the title-defending season at the Nation's Capital on Tuesday, July 5th against the Kastles. Peschke and the Explorers will return to Kansas City for the home opener on Thursday, July 7th. Tickets are still available at a special 2-for-1 fan appreciation price.
The Bryan Brothers will join the Explorers on the road in Sacramento for a seventh season on July 12th but will help defend the title in Kansas City July 14th and 16th. They'll show their artistic side on July 15th with a special Bryan Brothers Band featuring David Baron performance taking place at Barney Allis Plaza. Tickets are only $15 and all proceeds with benefit Camp Opportunity (www.campopportunity.org).
Brazilian native, Ricardo Mello helped the Explorers capture the 2010 Championship Title and will return for a second season this year. Newcomers, Alex Kuznetsov and Madison Brengle complete the 2011 Explorers roster. Brengle played World TeamTennis in 2007 but Kuznetsov will begin his WTT career with the Explorers.
