Kansas City Current News Release
KANSAS CITY - The Kansas City Current have selected three players in the 2024 NWSL Draft, the first for head coach Vlatko Andonovski since being appointed the team's head coach and the second for general manager Camille Ashton. Defender Ellie Wheeler from Penn State, goalkeeper Halle Mackiewicz from Clemson and goalkeeper Hope Hisey from Arizona.
"We're very excited about the players we were able to add tonight," said Andonovski. "We knew who and what we wanted coming into tonight's draft. Picking up Ellie (Wheeler) and the two goalkeepers made tonight a great night for the Current."
