GENEVA, Ill. - The Kane County Cougars, member of the 16-team Midwest League, contributed to a record-breaking league-wide attendance figure in 2015. The Midwest League set a regular season attendance record during the 2015 season, welcoming a total of 4,233,904 fans. The mark broke the previous record of 4,184,843 fans which was set in 2010. The 2015 total represented 10% of all fans who attended any Minor League Baseball game across the United States and exceeded every other league except for the two Triple-A leagues - the International and Pacific Coast leagues.

The Cougars finished in the top 30 across all Minor League Baseball clubs in terms of attendance and their overall attendance of 408,449 fans was second-best in the 16-team league.

In addition to welcoming more than 400,000 fans during the organization's 25th anniversary season, this year's Cougars team went 84-54 (third-best record in franchise history) while winning the Western Division second half division championship. The 2015 season was the first year of Kane County's affiliation with the Arizona Diamondbacks as the Cougars were led by former Major Leaguer and first-year manager Mark Grudzielanek. Earlier this month, the Cougars announced the 2016 game schedule with Opening Night taking place on Thursday, April 7 against Clinton.
