Kalamazoo Jr. K-Wings News Release
Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Jr. K-Wings, proud members of the North American Hockey League's North Division, announce the addition of goaltender, Marcus Due-Boje.
Due-Boj is a Sweden native, who hails from the city of Stockholm. The nineteen-year-old goalie has an extensive resume, including representing Sweden on several occasions, once at the U18 Ivan Hlinka tournament, and the U17 World Hockey Challenge. He began the pre-season with the Tri-City Storm of the USHL.
The 5-11, 170 pound net minder hasn't had a taste of hockey in the states, aside from his brief stint in the USHL. While playing with Djurgarden J20 in Stockholm, members of the SuperElit Swedish junior league last season, Due-Boje appeared in 30 games, posting a goals against average of 2.63 and a save percentage of .904%.
