K-Wings team up with Red Cross to help tsunami victims

Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings of the United Hockey League announce that they have teamed up with the American Red Cross to accept donations for the Tsunami Relief Fund during their game against the Motor City Mechanics on Saturday, January 15th.

Representatives from the American Red Cross will be on hand to answer questions and to accept donations for the Tsunami Relief Fund.

To donate to the relief fund, individuals can either stop by the American Red Cross table, or look for the K-Wings staff that will be canvassing the concourse area with Pepsi coolers. Fans can place the donations in the coolers and help those that need assistance in this time of tragedy.

Two weeks ago, over 150,000 people in Thailand lost their lives when the unexpected Tsunami hit. Since the tragedy, Red Cross has been accepting donations to help the people of Thailand and to rebuild the disaster area

Saturday will also be WKFR I Love the 80's and Win-Win Night. This will be the first-ever meeting at Wings Stadium between K-Wings and the Mechanics.

I Love the 80's Night is a chance to celebrate the 1980's. Fans are encouraged to wear their favorite garb for the 80's. The game also coincides with Win-Win Night. If the K-Wings win, everyone in attendance with receive a FREE ticket coupon for the K-Wings home game on January 19th versus the Port Huron Beacons.

Tickets for the Saturday's game or any of the K-Wings home games during the 2004-05 season are on sale now by calling (269) 345-5101 or at the Wings Stadium Box Office. Business hours of the Box Office are Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. or Saturday's 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
