The Montreal Juniors, playing their third game in less than 72 hours, outplayed and outshot a game Rouyn-Noranda squad to register a 7-1 victory Saturday afternoon at the Verdun Auditorium.
Louis Leblanc continued his hot weekend with a goal and two assists while Francis Meilleur turned in the same performance. David Rose had two goals and an assist, and Viktor Hertzberg has hit his stride with another strong game, registering a goal and an assist. Montreal scoring was rounded out by Captain Nicolas Chouinard's 19th and 20th of the campaign. Rouyn-Noranda's lone goal came in the first period from Jeremi Janneteau.
Etienne Marcoux picked up the win after turning aside 15 shots. Rouyn-Noranda goalie Jeffrey Noonan was peppered with 44 shots from the Juniors.
NOTES: Montreal hosts Acadie-Bathurst this Wednesday in their last school day matinees. Game time at the Verdun Auditorium is 10:35am.
