Montreal, Quebec - The Montreal Juniors had goals from five different shooters in their 5-2 victory over the Quebec Remparts Friday night at the Verdun Auditorium.
Quebec opened the scoring on a goal by Vincent Montreuil. But Louis-Marc Aubry, returning after two months on injured reserve, evened the mark before the end of the first period. Montreal scored two goals in the second to take command. Viktor Hertzberg and David Rose lit the lamp for Montreal. Quebec closed the gap early in the third with a goal from Ryan Culkin. But Montreal sealed the deal with goals from Louis Leblanc and Matt Provost. Viktor Hertberg added two assists to take first star honours.
JF Berube picked up the win; turning aside 22 Remparts shots. Quebec goalie Louis Domingue was d halfway through the second period by Jimmy Appleby after taking a high shot in the collarbone area. The tandem faced a 42 shot barrage from the Juniors.
