Montreal Juniors News Release
On this Sunday afternoon, the Baie-Comeau Drakkar were in Montreal for a game against the Juniors, the latter winning the game by a lopsided 7-0 score.
The Montreal offense went straight to work, scoring five goals in the first frame. David Rose opened the scoring with his 21st of the season, followed by Trevor Parkes (30th and 31st of the season), Dylan Anderson (11th of the season) and Nicolas Chouinard (21st of the season).
In the second period, Philippe Lefebvre quickly scored his 19th of the season, followed by Raphal Pouliot (10th of the season), both within the first two minutes of play and annihilating any hopes the Drakkar might have had of a heroic comeback.
In goal, Baie-Comeau's Simon Giroux stopped 11 of the 16 shots he faced, while Jason Missiaen turned away 15 of 17 in relief duty. At the other end, Montreal's Jean-Franois Brub stopped all 13 shots fired his way, good enough for his fourth shutout of the year. Trevor Parkes (MTL), Francis Meilleur (MTL) and Nicolas Chouinard (MTL) were respectively named first, second and third star of the game.
The Juniors next game will be on Thursday, March 17th, as the Rimouski Oceanic will be the visitors.
