The Montreal Juniors continued their winning ways on the road with an easy 9-2 victory over the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies at the IamGold Arena in Rouyn-Noranda.

Montreal jumped out to an early lead when Jeremy Gouchie opened the scoring at the 1:38 mark of the first period. Montreal continued its onslaught with goals from Philippe Fontaine at 9:36 and Louis-Marc Aubry at 12:11. The Huskies got on the board when Robert McEwan beat Etienne Marcoux with 52 seconds remaining in the period.

Montreal did all the scoring in the second period. Louis-Marc Aubry finished off the natural hat trick with goals at 5:00 and 16:18. Trevor Parkes got into the act with his first of two on the evening at 16:46.

Parkes continued his scoring ways when he opened the scoring in the third period at the 8:43 mark. Jeremy Gouchie tallied his second goal of the game at 11:10. Rouyn-Noranda got on the board once again with a goal from Jonathan Bonneau at 14:42. It looked like it would end that way as things got chippy toward the end of the game. But with Montreal on a power play, Janos Hari came out of his scoring funk with a goal at 19:59.

Montreal chased Huskies starter Jeffrey Noonan after the sixth Montreal goal by Trevor Parkes at the 16:46 mark of the second. He was replaced by Mickael Audette who gave up another three goals during his time between the pipes. Etienne Marcoux got the start for Montreal and saved 31 of the 33 shots he faced.

NOTES: Montreal plays the sixth and final road game of this stint away from the Verdun Auditorium when they face the Val d'Or Foreurs in Val d'Or tomorrow evening. With the win, Montreal has vaulted into first place overall in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. Montreal returns home with a game this Friday at 7:05pm vs Shawinigan at the Verdun Auditorium.
