
Juniors lose in Val-d'Or 3 to 1

Montreal - The Montreal Juniors ended this short two-game road trip with a loss against the Val-d'Or Foreurs by the score of 3 to 1. Forward Samuel Morneau had three assists while defenseman Olivier Dallaire had two goals as they led the Foreurs to victory. Forward Chris Thorne scored the only Junior goal.
Just fifteen seconds into the first, Juniors forward Chris Thorne scored his second of the year from Pier-Antoine Dion and David Stich. The Foreurs tied the game at 7:22 in the first when Kevin Guerette-Charland put the puck into the net for his eleventh of the year from Samuel Morneau and Marco Scandella. The Foreurs took the lead in the second at 17:11 when Olivier Dallaire scored his third of the season. In the third, Dallaire added his second of the night and extended the Foreurs lead to two goals at 4:51 from Samuel Morneau. That was the last goal of the night at the Foreurs defeat the Juniors by the score of 3 to 1.
Juniors goalie and Los Angeles King's prospect Jean-Francois was sharp in the loss as he stopped 33 shots. Foreurs goalie Raffaele D'Orso got the win as he stopped 31 shots. The Juniors fall to 11-12-0-1 while the Foreurs improve to 9-15-2-0. Up next for the Juniors will be the Halifax Mooseheads in the Auditorium on Friday, November 20th at 7:35PM. Montreal will host the Shawinigan Cataractes on Saturday, November 21st at 4:05PM. The Juniors will be in Quebec City as they face the Remparts on Sunday, November 22nd. The Juniors will be back in Montreal as they face the Gatineau Olympiques on Friday, November 27th at 7:35PM.
