Junior Blue Jackets Shut Out Gamblers 2-0

February 15, 2008 - United States Hockey League (USHL) - Ohio Junior Blue Jackets News Release

Columbus, OH - Ohio forwards Dan Durham and Derek Roehl each scored and goaltender Corson Cramer stopped all 24 shots he faced as the Ohio Junior Blue Jackets defeated the Green Bay Gamblers 2-0 at the Dispatch Ice Haus Friday night.

The Junior Blue Jackets (14-19-5, 33 pts) scored 3:19 into the first. With Green Bay (10-27-4, 24 pts.) on the power play, Durham tallied his third of the season with a shorthanded goal. The score remained 1-0 until Roehl notched his team-leading 15th goal of the season with less than six minutes remaining in the third period to give the Junior Jackets some insurance.

Ohio goaltender Corson Cramer made 24 saves in recording his first shutout of the season. Green Bay goaltender Neil Conway stopped 25 of 27 shots. Neither team could convert with the man-advantage, as the Junior Blue Jackets went 0-for-5 and the Gamblers 0-for-6.

The teams will square off again Saturday night at the Dispatch Ice Haus to conclude the weekend series. Game time is set for 9:45 p.m.
