Kalamazoo, MI- Drew Graves notched his 100th career junior point, but it wouldn't be enough as the Kalamazoo Jr. K-Wings dropped their contest to the Port Huron Fighting Falcons by an overtime score of 3-2 on Saturday afternoon.

In a quick-moving first period, it was Port Huron who found the score sheet first. Joseph Pizza scored his second of the season at the 6:58 mark of the first period when he beat Kalamazoo goaltender, Ken MacLean through the five-hole.

While working with their first power play of the game, Kalamazoo drew even on the 13th of the season from Brandon Flood.

Early in the third, with the score tied at one apiece, Drew Graves broke the stalemate with his 21st of the season. The goal for Graves was his 100th career point in the North American Hockey League.

Port Huron struck right back, however, as Brett DeAndrea (12th) scored his third goal in his last two games to force overtime.

With 11 seconds remaining and working on the power play in overtime, Port Huron designed a backdoor play off the faceoff that saw Kody Polin (20th) bury the game winner.

Sunday, February 12th Vs. Jamestown Ironmen. 3-0 Win.

Kalamazoo, MI- Alex Okicki registered 24 saves en route to his second shutout of the season, as the Kalamazoo Jr. K-Wings beat the Jamestown Ironmen by a score of 3-0 on Sunday.

The Jr. K-Wings started the scoring early in the first, as it only took 1:51 for them to find the back of the net. Alex Brooks netted his third of the season when he joined the rush from the blue line and poked a backhander past Joe Gladnick.

With under five to play in the opening period and working with a power play, Kalamazoo lit the lamp for the second time on the day to take a 2-0 lead. Jacob McDowell tallied his eleventh of the season on a wrist shot from the low slot.

Kalamazoo padded their lead to three, 13:15 into the second period. Chris Leone blasted a one-timer from the right-wing side for his third of the season. Assisting on the goal was Anthony Appleyard, who tallied his 17th assist, giving him 25 points, most among Kalamazoo defensemen.
