Jr. Blues Need To Find Way To Win

Springfield Jr. Blues News Release
After being swept by the Topeka Roadrunners over the weekend, it doesn't get any easier for the Springfield Jr. Blues as they take on the league-leading St. Louis Bandits this coming weekend in a three-game series.
The Blues will travel to St. Louis Friday and Sunday. The two teams will play at the Springfield Nelson Center on Saturday night(Game Time 7:30pm). St. Louis has won all four games the teams have played this year and lead the NAHL South Division. The last three games with the Bandits have been one-goal, 3-2 losses. The Blues have had seven one-goal losses this season.
With the division's worst record, is it time to panic? "No", says Blues coach Chris Wyler. " We are competing just about every night and have had many close games that could have gone ! either way. We are a very young team and only have two returning veterans. We believe that these young kids will mature quickly and make less mistakes as they gain game experience. I think we will be a much better team as the season progresses".
The Jr. Blues faithful hope Wyler is right. The team struggled throughout the season last year but turned it on at the end - coming within an overtime goal of a Robertson Cup Championship appearance.
With all four South Division teams making the playoffs this year, the season comes down to a two-series, best of five finale with the winner heading to the Robertson Cup Championships in Mason City, Iowa.
