"The team hasn't been performing well so it's time to make a change. This is a tough thing to do any time but this team still has the potential to win the league championship. We are competitive every night and maybe a coaching change will give us the spark we need to win a few more games", he added.

Wyler had a 42-53-11 record in just over two seasons.

Maher, from Alexandria, Minnesota, will have an "interim" in front of his title but he is expected to finish the season, which has 18 games left. With the Topeka Roadrunners coming to town this weekend, Maher will have his hands full.Topeka has only 5 regulation-losses all season and is in first place in the Division. The Blues have lost several close games to the Roadrunners and need to find a way to win to get momentum building for the playoffs. Game times are 7:30 for both Friday and Saturday night.
