
Jr. Blues Host Tomahawks this Weekend

The Jr. Blues conclude their 4-game home stand this weekend as they take on the Johnstown Tomahawks Friday and Saturday night.
Johnstown comes into the weekend series with a 22-18-12 record, good for 56 points and 4th place in the North Division. Johnstown is currently 8 points ahead of the Jr. Blues with 8 games remaining. After this weekend, they face Jamestown 4 times and the Soo twice.
The only other meeting between the two teams this season took place the first weekend in November in Johnstown. The Jr. Blues were able to skate away with 2 wins, 4-3 and 6-4.
Coming into the weekend, Johnstown is 0-2-2 in their last 4 games, all of which were at home. They are led by forwards Cody Gylling, 16 goals and 26 assists, Mitch Kontny, 19 goals and 16 assists and Jordan Watt, 16 goals and 16 assists.
The Jr. Blues are currently in the sixth in the North Division and hold the final playoff spot. Janesville is only 2 points behind the Jr. Blues for the last spot as the Jr. Blues look to increase the point lead this weekend.
Friday night is Business Appreciate Night presented by Quaker Steak & Lube. There will be a short business presentation at 6:30 for any business owners or operators who are interested in getting more information on partnering with the Jr. Blues. Each company that signs up will receive 2 or 4 FREE tickets to the game. Attendance at the presentation is required to receive the tickets. Also on Friday night, the first 250 fans will receive Quaker Steak & Lube Thunder Sticks!
Saturday night is Chatham Night presented by Chick Fritz Distributing. The first 250 fans will get Jr. Blues seat cushions courtesy of the Springfield Jr. Blues Booster Club.
