The Jr. Blues go on the road after being swept by Kalamazoo this past weekend. Uncharacteristic of the Jr. Blues, the team has been plagued by suspension resulting from two altercations as the Jr. Blues were missing 7 players this weekend who were suspended. The team heads to Janesville to face former Jr. Blues boss, Joe Dibble. The Jr. Blues swept the Jets at the Nelson Center in October.

Shorthanded Jr. Blues can't hold off K-Wings
The Jr. Blues were shorthanded from the drop of the puck as the team was missing 7 players who were suspended.
Ji Li, Jack Sloan, Jon Carkeek, and Simon Koscielski were serving suspension from the post game festivities versus Topeka, while Jeff McFarland, affiliate player Alex Jaeckle, and Parker Johnson were suspended from Friday night's event. Coach Tony Zasowski also was serving his 1-game suspension from Friday night.
The K-Wings jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period outshooting the Jr. Blues 12-6. Mike Fazio and Brett Skibba would both score in the 2nd period to send the game into a tied 2-2 into the 3rd period. The K-Wings would beat Jr. Blues goalie early in the 3rd period to take the lead 3-2. Despite outshooting the K-Wings 11-9, Kalamazoo would hold off of the Jr. Blues for the win.
Matt Leon stopped 25 of 28 shots.

Jr. Blues outshoot K-Wings 46-29 in losing effort
A shorthanded Jr. Blues lose 5-3 versus K-Wings. The Jr. Blues were without four defensemen who were suspended from the last game versus Topeka.
The K-Wings scored first and never looked back. The Jr. Blues were playing catchup all night as the K-Wings had an answer for the Jr. Blues scoring efforts. Theo Tydingco scored in the 1st period to tie the game at one but it was not enough. Mike Fazio and Alex Baskakov each scored in the 5-3 loss.

Jr. Blues to complete season series with Jets
The Jr. Blues head to face the Janesville Jets this weekend. The Jr. Blues swept the Jets at the Nelson Center in October.
The Jr. Blues look to get back on track as they head into the holidays. The Jr. Blues have a short 4 day rest before they play 4 games in 5 days over New Years including New Year's Eve and New Year's Day at the Nelson Center.
New Year's Eve: The puck drops at 6:00pm.
New Year's Day: The puck drops at 3:00pm.
Tickets are on sale at area County Markets along with at the ticket gate starting one hour prior to the start of the game on game nights.
